![]() I have 50lbs of Pukani rock. It's been in bleach and acid already.
Currently it's sitting in a 125L Rubbermaid container. I'm making my first batch of RO/DI water so I can get rocking. I have a Maxijet 1200 pump that came with my BRS dual reactor. I also have an Eheim 1262 pump that I plan on using for my tank when the rock is done curing. Which of these two should I use in the Rubbermaid for water movement? Will the Eheim be too much? MJ too little? |

![]() If I had nothing else, I would use the MJ dialed back
You just need some circulation, although more is better than none. |

![]() So far I have the MJ going on one side. I think I might need another 1 on the other side.
I didn't put the Eheim in, but I would think it would be too powerful and shoot water straight up (possibly out of the tank??) |

![]() I really like to blast curing rock...
It helps to get detritus out of the porous areas. |

![]() Is it ok to lay an Eheim pump on its side, or does it need to stay right side up?
