			 Question about juvenile mimic tangs..

So if it's yellow it's the Acanthurus pyroferus and it's presumably a mimic of of the Lemonpeel or Herald's Angel and it becomes a nice chocolate colored adult with an outlined rim pattern. On the other hand if it's not yellow it's likely Acanthurus tristis and a a mimic of the Half-black or Eibli's Angel and becomes a very drab brown color as an adult? Sorry just trying to get this straight. Anybody have a mimic they can share experience with? JT |

Hi JT. Just bought a mimic half back jv 3 weeks ago. I'm not sure what exactly he/she will look like later down the road. I guess that all depends on where it came from. (Indian Ocean for this one) Right now it's colours are very nice and has some yellow hughes and a blue trim as well. What Tang are you interested in. Big Als in Richmond has a clown tang that is beautiful and some nice Kole's from X-mas Island along with some other nice tangs including mimics. Sorry wasn't much help on your question other than it might depend on what ocean they are from.
