Is my tank going to blow?

Hi,

I have a 46gallon marineland bow front tank for about one and a half years. Just noticed today that one of the front seals have a larger gap in the middle of the tank. On the other seals the front and side glass are very tight. There are no leaks on my tank and I can not seem to remember what it looked like when I brought it. I also notice that the tank is tilting slighted forwards, the bubble on the level just touches the line.



Should I be concerned about this or is this normal?

I know nothing about silicon and building tanks, but if it were me i would probably drain it and put everything in a temporary tank because the price of that is definitely less then the price of loosing your fish tank. I would also try phoning some tank builders such as Concept Aquariums because they probably have had these issues before. I wouldn't do anything until someone with a little more knowledge posts.

Yes its going to burst. Get everything into contsiners and reseal it asap

Yup, pretty much guaranteed that your bowfront is going to let go, and most likely at the worse possible time (i.e. middle of the night or when you are out of the house). Really recommend dealing with it now, rather than wait for the big flood.

I bet it's fine the way it is.
Tanks are tougher than we often realize.
