150 DE HQI MH would be fairly sweet.

IMHO, YMMV, EIEIO.

what are the dimensions of the tank?
what do you want to keep in it?
any supplemental lighting?

i am planning on a 45 cubish tank...24x24x18H
and i'm gonna light it with a single 250W DE MH 14k.

most likely be mushroom dominated, some zoos, clams and a few select sps.

I light my 37G Oceanic Cube-like tank (IIRC 24"x21"x19") with a 250W DE 20000K AB bulb. Works fine for me!
