I know this is a major long shot, but does anyone know what kind of rock the pink frosted/sheer rock from Big Al's is? It dissolved a bunch in my tank and I'd like to identify it so I know what I need to do to make sure everything turns out ok.
Thanks in advance! ![]()

![]() Tank. by [Kait], on Flickr This is the rock in my tank - it looks like an ice cube when it's wet. I'll get a picture tomorrow when it's dry. I was thinking it looked similar to quartz too, but really know nothing about rocks.

I'm gonna guess it's Himalayan rock Salt. I'd take it out right away and do a major water change if it's dissolving.

If it's rock salt, will it change the salinity? My salinity levels are good.
Will work on the water change tomorrow.

Why would you put a clear rock in there anyway ?? Just askin .... In a couple months it would be covered with algea or coraline anyway
did big als tell you to get that or something ? |
