Acropora suharsonoi
This acro is a smooth skinned, deep water creature with a brilliant green colour and a growth pattern of corymbose wisp like thickets and perhaps, some of the longest axial corallites that will add nice contrast to an sps tank. A more rare variant comes complete with yellow polyps that make for a stunning coral sought by many, acquired by few. It inhabits the lower reef slopes. Pounding this coral with light too quick can be troublesome, though, given proper acclimation, can handle high light situations. For best colour, place it low in the reef tank with plenty of indirect flow. |
