I was also wondering how everyone hung theirs. I don't want to drill more holes in my ceiling. I see the brackets martin makes at modular led but I need mine mounted length wise.

How does everyone hang them?

You can get aluminum bar from canadian tire. I think they sell it in 4 ft lengths.

Or get some nice square aluminum tubing from most welding shops.

Paint them whatever color you like.

I like aluminum as it's nice and light and easy on the hanging brackets.

heres what I did with mine.........now keep in mind that I whipped this together in about ten minutes just to try the Radion over my small tank.....Im thinking Im gonna do something similar over then big tank with four Radions.......this is a pair of Tek legs($70) and a piece of solid wood...when I do it over the big tank, I will take the time to put a radius on the corners, router the top and bottom edge, probably do a small molding of some sort to keep the Radions in place and paint it black

Hi, I just used the AI sol rail kit and used flat aluminum bars: 1" wide, 3/16" thick and 24 cm long (2 per fixture) to join the Radions to the AI sol kit. On the ends of the bars, I cut 1" tube of RODI slip fit tubing, cut it longitudinally to cap the ends of the alum. bars to allow easy sliding of the bars for adjustment. Easy to do, just have to cut bars to the right length and drill 2 holes to mount them with the screws from the included hanging kit.
Sorry for the mixed measurements.

I hope to have pics up on my long delayed and neglected build thread if anyone is interested.
When I bought the lights a month ago or so, I wasnt aware of a rail kit. Happy with the look though (with the AI rail) looks nice n sleek.

Boyfriend is in the garage ATM drilling the holes to mount the radions to the aluminum bar (using the extended screws we bought today). I'll post pics when we've got the fixture up on the bar for a decent visual but it will look very much like the radions.

Should look like this but lengthwise as we need 3 fixtures:
