I would carefully consider putting a blue linkia and/or tuxedo urchin in a ten gallon tank....

Why's that?
and Its a long spiny urchin. EDIT On second thought, maybe I will steer clear of my little blue star and keep him in my 30. probably no enough natural food to support it over time. Thanks for the heads up. I have had a blue star in my 30 for a while and it has seemed bullet proof but I did some research online after reading your warning and it appears I may have lucked out completely. Most people have had theirs die in a couple days and it's feeding habits are pretty much unknown except some people believe it feeds on live rock film and micro organisms in the water. Since the one in my 30 is quite large now (for a 10g to sustain it's suspected feeding habits), I would have to buy a smaller one for my nano in which it probably would not survive due to their apparent difficulty in keeping.

It sounds like you've already thought this quite through! You're way more ahead of this game then I am. Have you picked up your tank yet?

+1 though admittably, I have had one in my 72 for 6 months now and bought him before I learned what you've quoted. |
