Default Cyano with no nutrients?
In the last week I have had a slight cyano issue.

It started on the bottom which is not sand but crush. And only enough to cover glass. I vacuum it regularly. I don't have any noticeable phôsphates and nitrates were 0-5 ppm.

I blow it off the rocks daily and it's not even really there just slight amount of red tissue and the air pockets. I use rowaphos and prodibio. I feed my tank very little for the most part spot feeding my two fish and 2 shrimp. I run a mce 600 skimmer which does its job fantastically. Also run filter pad @100 micron changed daily

Can anyone explain why this would be without any noticeable nutrients.

Maybe low flow in that area ?

Light is a radion at 80%. 14000k and 18000k in evening

I had this issue for couple month, i used blue vet redslime control and they all gone next morning!

I am prepared to use the meds to be rid of it but there must be a reason why this is happening

I blow off rocks daily to remove it but also to remove deitrus. So I can't see it being leech from rock either

Yes it is lol

I was reading on chris88 feature about cyano being a byproduct of carbon dosing. So I wonder if adding different benificial bacterial strain would help this

Yeah, I've also dealt with the "where's it getting its food from??!?!?!?!" cyano. Don't bother fighting it with "honest" methods. Just pick up an antibiotic and call it a day.

Yeah I have cemiclean on hand.

I was just lookin for a reason why but I guess sometimes it is what it is
