![]() I had my tank drilled for one inch bulkheads. It seems that the hole cut into the glass is a little too large. I'd say it is approximately 1/4 inch bigger than the bulkhad.
Is this ok? Will the gasket still seal? |

![]() I'm pretty sure the holes drilled for my bulkheads are 1 3/4" . I think that's the standard size for a 1" bulkhead. They will seal just fine

![]() I think it should be ok as well, I gust checked on a spare 90 gallon I have, and it is almost 1/2 inch bigger than the bulkhead.
did you manage to get the 1 inch gate valve? |

![]() Thanks guys. Guess what I found. My new bulkhead has a label....
"1 inch bulkhead requires a 1 3/4 inch hole." Kevin - no I never found a 1 inch gate valve. If a gate valve was readily available I'd use one but I am gonna try a 1 inch ball valve out of necessity. I've been 3 days sumpless now. |
