Default REGARDING ISSUE WITH PHOSBAN 150 REACTOR

Hey, got a question for ya guys, just started using pellets in a Phosban 150 reactor, my question is,

Should i leave the red little protectors in??
i put in the screens on top of them.

my thing is i only have a 250 GPH right now for the night, but only 1/2 the pellets are turning,
so i am purchasing a 350 Gph tomorrow,

my net water volume is also only 65 Gal-- with 100 ml of pellets for the first time and to get it going

please let me know your thoughts on if i should cut those red trays out and just use the screens

thanks

arn't the function of the trays to act kinda like a difuser to spread out the water flow more evenly? I would leave them in personaly.

+1 leave the red protectors in but increase the flow to get the tumble required. It doesn't hurt to got bigger on the pump as you can always dial it back if needed.

Did you leave the foam filters in? If so take them out and replace it with mesh screen.

For sure bro, you need to take the foam out and replace it with the mesh upgrade. JL sells them for cheap or Michaels(craft store) also have large pieces that you can cut. Don't ask me how I know that.
