Transporting Live Rock
I'm looking to purchase some live rock from a fellow Canreefer this weekend. I have a couple of questions.
1. Is it best to transport it in water from his tank so there is no die off? 2. the journey back to my house is probably 30 min. Without a heater will I have to cure the dry rock? 3. Should I have the sand in my tank before placing the rock in my tank? The live rock will be used to seed my dry rock which is already stacked and scaped in my tank (with no sand yet). Thanks for your suggestions. |

1. Definitely have it in his water. Enough to at least keep it moist
2. 30 mins should be just fine without heat or flow. 3. Dosn't really matter if the sand goes in first or last. I personally like to do the sand first. But many people like to do it second. Just bring a decent sized rubbermaid, fill it wil some tank water, put the rock in, and getter dun
