Bubble Maggus NAC7 vs SRO 1000 Internal
Considering an upgrade for my skimmer from my AquaC Remora/Urchin to either the BM-NAC7 or the SRO-1000 Internal.
75g display + ~30g sump/fuge Moderate fish load. I currently have mainly softies & LPS, but want to be able to add more SPS. Opinions?

BM-NAC7 all the way. We love these skimmers, they do a great job and take up very little space.
The only issue with the BM's are 1- The plastic construction is a tad on the cheap side. If you don't plan on throwing it up ageist a wall, you're good to go. 2- The pump housing were the intake screws on to the pump is weak. They crack when it's time to change the mesh wheel (yearly). You can easily fix this by wrapping the housing in a couple of tie wraps before you put it to use. You will not get better performance for $250...this is why they sell out before they even come in. Curently on BO Good luck with your purchase Ray |
