Red Fromia Starfish

Does anyone have experience keeping the Red Fromia Starfish Fromia elegans ? I recently acquired one on the advice of Tim at Seacare as a detritus and film algae eater, but according to Ron Shimek there is some sparse data apparently based on just a few observations that they may be sponge predators and will eventually starve in (spongeless) aquaria.
