![]() So i'm plumbing the 187 tonight, and i'm stuck at the overflow. It only has one 2" drain, so I was thinking durso. Obviously can't do a true herbie. Any thoughts?

![]() That is an awesome idea, but lack of pictures for the actual bulkhead side. I can't really see how they would make that work at the bottom.

![]() you can (probably) do a true herbie if you are willing to drill

![]() use a 2" slip x slip bulkhead. on the bottom you yould use a 1 or 1 1/2x2x2 tee with the the stop sanded or dremeled out of the smaller diameter end.

![]() There is actually a 1" hole drilled on the other side of the tank (formerly for a return) that I was going to use for a fancy water changer. I suppose I could do an upwards bend and run the pipe just under the euro brace for an emergency. Then just do a standard durso.

![]() Another random question.... How would a ball valve fair underwater? If I could have an interior valve I could make the water changer and an emergency drain work! haha.

![]() Well the return pumps are plumbed from the sump. Still not sure which way to go on the drain. Good thing I have the next 4 days off work! hehe.
I did mock up an emergency drain using the 1" hole from the former return. I highly doubt it would 100% keep up to the flow from the returns, but least its there. I might just do a durso for now, and see if I like it.
