Default Tek Light Hanging

How high should a Tek light be hung above your tank?

it will depend on your tank height.
IMO 24" tank 5 " from the water max though

Doesn't matter how much you have been reading until you take the plunge.
You don't know as much as you think.

.

My system is 22 inches high and my tek light is appx a foot and a half away from it. Would be closer but its a 4 foot fixture on a 6 foot tank so I need the light spread.

for lighting I think it depends on the light intensity, wattage, height of tank...

For me, I have mine about 6-8 inches above water line.
