![]() I have massive amounts of this overtaking my tank. How can I thin it out?
Or do I need to get rid of it all? Any idea's on this? |

![]() I feel for you, the stuff is a plague.
You CAN peel it off (much like Xenia), but it tends to break off, or come off in pieces (as opposed to nice big stalks like Xenia). If you are looking to get rid of it and can remove the rock it's on, pull out the rock, rip off as much as you can and take a tooth brush (or scrub brush) and start brushing! Brushed pieces will die off (if you do it well enough), so you don't have to scrub clean. Good Luck! Kelly |

![]() Peeling it off works when its growing on smooth surfaces. Scrubbing usually leaves a little bit behind so then it grows back. Leaving it in the dark for several weeks weakens it and causes it to come off rock very easily.

![]() The few little stalks I stole from a clients tank have turned into many huge rock covered pieces.
Guess that's what I get for stealing ![]() |

![]() After you scrape it off maybe you could bury the rock side that had the anthelia in sand to starve it of light, etc. Might work?
