![]() My male hooded fairy wrasse has to be one of the most curious fish I have ever kept. When ever I am in the tank he is right there with me. It doesn't matter what I'm doing rearranging, cleaning the glass or even when I have my camera in the tank (which as most people know, seems to send most fish into the rockwork). I am quite certain I probably could catch him with my hand. Im gonna attempt to get a pic of it

![]() Great picture of the wrasse (focus or not
![]() I was moving fish over from my 75g to my 115g last little while, I pretty much did catch my CBB by hand (I used a pop bottle though, put some mysis in, he swam right in). My sailfin, same thing, always super tame (knows hands means food), so I stupidly tried the same thing (shooing him into a container with my hand). However, he was wise to me now that he saw the CBB whisked away ... and I ended up with a gash in my thumb for my efforts. "I may be tame, but I'm not stupid, and I have sharp pointy bits which I will use to my advantage when needed."

![]() My CBB is the same way, I have a hard time keeping him out of my hands when my hands are in the tank.
He also has no problems coming nose to nose with strange kids who put there faces right up against the glass ![]() |

![]() Great pic! He looks like a real character!
I've caught my chromis repeatedly with the little 1/2 cup tupperware thing I use for defrosting food while scooping up water, and all my fish (besides the yellow wrasse) swim freely thru my hands as I like to hand-feed....though I won't try to catch any of the pointy-bitted fish that way! |

![]() My crosshatch trigger just does not give a damn, I can put a hand in the tank for cleaning, even swat him away and he still continues to swim beside my hand (not to mention that it has bit me many a time or two, I figure it will really suck when he gets bigger). So it just happen that as I was mounting a frag today I decided to see if I could catch him with my hand and the answer to that is yes, it was quite easy to do.
