![]() How hard is it to do? I have an Aqualight Pro & Aquamedic pendant & thinking of switching out all 4 ballasts to electronic ballasts. Do I have to rewire my hood & pendant or is it just a straight ballast swap out of my ballast boxes? Anybody have any experience doing this with reef lighting? A friend mentioned capacitors & such in the hood that need to be bypassed. Not sure how involved this project would be.
Thanks for any advice. Anthony

![]() Should just be a straightforward swap... There are two wires that go to your lamps. There should be two wires from your ballasts. If you have magnetic ballasts with capacitors the two wires will be 1) from the core and 2) from the capacitor. (If pulse-start there will be three things not two.) But the bottom line is two wires to the socket. Replace everything downstream of these two wires. (It's probably harder to describe than to just do.)
