i havent been able to make my weekly rounds to all the lfs, has any 1 seen any mappa puffers out there recently

King ed's had one but it has been sold.
If you ask them they can order another one in for you.

LOL...that is kind of funny!
Sure, I will answer what I can and I am sure many other experienced puffer keepers will chime in. I have kept a Mappa about 4 years ago. Beautiful fish but just hard to keep to full size because they get so big. I found they grow fast to about 10-11" (inch a month almost) and then then slow a bit until 12-14" where they really start to slow down quite a bit in growth. They do reach 25" in the ocean but more likely 20-22" in aquariums I think. What size tank are you thinking? At least to start with? |
