![]() I use a ProfiLux controller take a reading of my PH every hour. The ProfiLux then produces a graph that shows me that for the last month my PH troughout the day goes from a low of 7.95 with the lights off to a high of 8.20 with the lights on.

![]() I also have a pinpoint monitor and check it walking by, it goes from 7.9 to 8.2 most days. If my alk is in check it will stay a little tighter 8.0 to 8.1.

![]() I used to have pH problems all the time, until the day I threw my meter away. Everything has been fine since. I find the important thing is healthy fish and corals, not a value on a meter. Regular water changes, and routine tests of Ca and Alk keeps everything stable, I don't feel pH is a required parameter unless something is visibly out of whack.

![]() I have 2 PH probes.
The first is in my sump and controls my system PH and the second is mounted in my calcium reactor and controls my CO2. Both probes are controlled by my ProfiLux controller and it constantly reads the probes and reports their status every 3 hours (this can be adjusted to as often as you want). Tom R |
