Default Taking pictures. How to make them clear??

OK, I see alot of your pictures and I have to say AMAZING. Not only the beautifull corals and fish, but the clarity and closeness of the shots. Whats some secrets? I juat have a Sony Cybershot 5.1 megapixle camera. I can set some F stops ets, but I have NO CLUE when it comes to that stuff. And takin pics on Auto makes it flash, and bleach out the tank. Shut flash off, its all blurry. What do I do??

Shut off the flash and hold it REAL still. Tripod helps. Also, keep the room dark, and the tank lights on. People are getting the best shots using SLR cameras with macro lens though.
