![]() I need shelving material for the inside of my prop tank. Anyone know where I can buy black egg crate? I'm also open to suggestions for an alternate material that is aesthetically pleasing.

![]() i've considered coating with krylon fusion. but i just don't feel comfortable with that much paint inside my tank.
i've found an american supplier that has it for $20 a sheet. unfortunately there is a minimum order of $100. i can only do it if there was an interest in a victoria area group buy. https://secure17.nexternal.com/share...unt2=600165963 Last edited by GrimReefer; 05-03-2007 at 03:59 AM. |

![]() All of the internal supports for my current reef are made of eggcrate painted with black krylon fusion. 6 months with no ill effects and the bond hasn't weakened anywhere.

![]() Check with a lighting supplier. Something like Litemore or BriteLite or wherever. You don't need to order it from the U.S. the lighting stores will have it. However expect to spend about $15 per sheet. It's way expensive. Krylon Fusion black paint has been used to make eggcrate black for many people and it's totally fine to do it that way.
