mystery tang
I have had this tang 6 years and never found out what he is.He looks more like the surgion family.I have never seen him in a book or on the internet. He is light blue but turns black when he/s eating or ****ed off.Has anybody had one that sounds like that.I will try and post a picture of him.He/s probally 14 to16 inches long.

Yup, love those Elongate tangs (A. mata) but they grow fast and big. Food fish in some parts of the world.

Wow, how big is your tank to keep a 14" fish in?

Does sound like a lavender tang. Have one, not as big, but is a pale colour then gets really dark when eating.
