![]() I have been doing some research as to what my next pump purchase would be.
Are the Seio's worth it? I have a 77g tank and its time to retire the 802 and Power Sweep PHs and get something lese their flow has dramatically gone down and cleaning no long helps. my 77G has LR, Fish and some Softies (kenya Tree, Devils Hand) and an open Brain Coral. Would 1 Tunze 6060 be fine? 2 Seio 820's? Everytime I decide I read some bad things and then I am back at square one. I have been wanting to replace my PH for at least 3 months or 4 months now ,and put it off as I have no idea what I want to put in there. If 1 Tunze 6060 would work on my tank then I will probably go with 1 of those and add a 2nd later if need be Jim

![]() No question that tunze are the better choice... but if you don't want a second mortgage .... I am happy with the 2 620's and 2 MJ 1200's I am using in my 77

![]() I have a 70G, I had 2 820's running, then I installed the sump so I shut one down. The one that is running is quiet, and in the "jet engine" config makes the water roll quite nice.

![]() I'm running a 620 on my 30g right now, and I'm quite happy with it. Next time I'm down in Calgary, I'll probably pick up another 620, or perhaps an 820

![]() I think once I my CC payment goes through I am going to order something ( maybe 2 820's or 1 6060 Tunze) just have to see what if 1 6060 is sufficient. but I am leaning towards the 820's right now. just due to budget reasons

![]() I have two 620's and one 820. They have never given me a moment's trouble. However, there are always naysayers.

![]() Tunze is the best choice, and for what you are keeping, I'm sure only one would be ok for your tank. Why not get the 6060 and use your existing powerheads to blast any dead spots?

![]() I have a crushed coral substrate . I think I am going to go with the 820s (2 of them) for the time being as I can not afford the tunze I want. If I would go the tunze I would go with a variable speed version with a controller, and right now can not afford that.
The reason I am looking is the 2 PH need to be replaced ad their flow is maybe half of what they used to be. even after cleaning The 802 has served me well.. used that in my FW setups and I can not remember when I got it. Jim

![]() ahh ok, with a crushed coral you could get away with 6060's in that tank but I wouldn't go bigger or your crushed coral will be in a pile in one corner
![]() I run a mix of SEIO and TUNZ in my tank as I use the tunze for main flow and the SEIO to put more direct flow in specific areas. you could always replace your power heads with the 820 SEIO's and then laiter add a tunze. Steve
