questions red coarse hair algae?

so i notice in what i think is a type of red coarse hair algae in my tank, it's really hard to pull off the rocks manually, would any of you know what it is and how i can remove it?

A picture would help. Need to identify what you have and then you can determine a course of action. Maybe as simple as adding something that will eat it.

Possibly Vibrant? Watch the BRS videos on Vibrant, it worked great for green algae, don't know what it would do against the red. Never used it myself.
