Default VorTech MP40w to 40w ES Upgrade Kit.. Is it worth it?
I have a line on a cheap price on this upgrade.. Is it really worth it? From what I have read there are more varied flow options.. What else?

How many are you planning on using?
If you only have one I would not waste your money.

2 for now... I can get them at cost, which is still pricey!

Its only worth it if you want more than 1 running at the same time and in sync. Otherwise its pointless.

Yes they will alternate or be in sync with each other if desired.

You can also use Ames with the non es, I currently use it that way, the es as the controller. The only flow pattern that the non es doesn't support is the high nutrient mode

Type of Aquarium: mixed reef (SPS & LPS) with fish
Dosing: Mg, Ca, Alk
