![]() In case anyone else is experiencing this issue, where an instance of svchost.exe is using up all of your CPU, there is a fix
I installed it and all is good My Desktop was useless for a couple days until I found the time to research it Apparently the problem is coming from WinUpdate, but it's fixed with an IE patch ... I know, it makes no sense to install an IE patch for this, but that's MicroShaft for ya Here's the writeup I got the links from Apparently this issue dates back to 2002 ![]() Sure glad I bought this Virus Download the linked file appropriate for you Close all your programs etc MicroSmurf recommends you backup all your stuff first ... up to you I have everything on another drive, so in my case, 'Just Do It' ![]() Nothing melted Run the download Reboot just for giggles For IE6 For IE7 For IE8 I think we can do without you Mac users flooding this thread ![]() |
