![]() Are these pumps serviceable? Mine quit working a couple of weeks ago and I could not see any way of taking it apart so I rinsed it out as best as I could and got it working again, but when I returned from vacation last night it had quit again. I see they sell a replacement pump for it but this thing has only been running since last December and I would hope it to last longer.

![]() aside from taking out the impeller and cleaning the inside like you would any other pump, there is no way to really service it.

![]() Mine doesn't seem to be working properly. I replaced it with a mag 3 that I mounted externally

![]() I tried twisting on the piece of plastic over the impeller to remove it but there was no turning it and I was afraid of breaking it. Is is removable?

![]() My recommendation is this. Grab with right hand, in an arcing motion, move hand with skimmer in it at an alarming rate. Release once past the apex of arc....walk away....
Kidding. I hate wen pumps poo the bed! This is my initial thought wen they do! |

![]() I found the best thing to do with the cad light reactors is throw them in the garbage
Second best thing to do with them is drill out the holes in the screens so they're slightly larger as they seem to cause too much back pressure for the pump to handle. And eliminate the recirc on it as IMO it's pointless After doing that with mine I never had a problem with it
