![]() ![]() ![]() Available for both Phosphate and Carbon The innovative slowfilter-system for efficient reduction and maintenance of phosphates and discoloring organic substances Optimal adsorption and maximum usage of the adsorption capacity by regulating filter flow rate 100% control of adsorption media activity and early indication of media exhaustion One-way-cartridge for easy, clean and quick replacement of the media. Expandable and versatile by varied filter media Easy to use and independent of other filter systems – place anywhere in tank or sump Secure use with 12V-pump UL listed power source. ![]() The SLOWFILTER – a new filter design works against phosphates and discoloring organic substances Phosphate and discoloring organics substances are compounds that occur in minor concentrations in every aquarium on a daily basis, yet they can accumulate and reach detrimental concentrations over a long period of time. Tropic Marin® now offers the new ELIMI-CONTROL filter system to lower high concentrations and to maintain an optimal range of these detrimental compounds. The slow controllable flow through the filter in conjunction with highly effective adsorbing materials ensures that the ELIMI-CONTROL filter system reduces the concentration of pollutants to zero in just one cycle. Until now the efficiency of any phosphate removing media could only be checked indirectly, often resulting in a “too little, too late” scenario and a rise in the phosphate level in the tank. Now, with the Tropic Marin® ELIMI-CONTROL filter, the media can be checked directly at the filter outflow resulting in an immediate measure of the remaining media capacity for adsorption. Optimal efficancy, easy to use The water at the filter outflow is free of phosphate if the phosphate adsorbing media is used at the recommended flow rate of up to 6 l / h. The efficacy of the adsorbing media can be easily checked at any time with the Tropic Marin PHOSPHATE-TEST: The media should be replaced if the phosphate concentration at the water outflow reaches the same level as that of the aquarium water. The depletion of the phosphate adsorption media can be measured early on, long before the phosphate concentration increases in the aquarium water itself. Only by doing so it is possible to keep the phosphate concentration low to ensure the optimal growth of corals without the bothersome increase of phosphate levels that one experiences with indirect water testing. The ELIMI-CONTROL filter system can be used anywhere in the aquarium or in the filtering sump. It is completely independent of other filtering systems and can fit in a concealed area because of is compact, space-efficient design. The phosphate adsorption media is easily changed: simply replace the depleted cartridge with a new ELIMI-CONTROL filter cartridge and the systems full efficiency is restored.
