Default ID Please - Coral

Please help me ID this beauty.

http://s1304.photobucket.com/user/we...ml?sort=3&o=30

Here is a picture of the whole aquarium and the coral in question is on the bottom right hand corner:

http://s1304.photobucket.com/user/we...ml?sort=3&o=10

It's about 8" long x 5" tall and once ID'd I would also like to know what it's worth.

Thanks!!!

It's called a maze coral or maze brain.... I believe it's classified as a favite

At that size(very impressive btw), probably in the $200-$300 range retail.... That's just a guess tho as I've never seen one quite that big...

Actually I'm pretty sure that coral is a Symphyllia.

Yes it does look like it might be a Symphyllia Coral actually. From what I've read on those coral they seem to be rare. I didn't actually like this coral or want to keep it until I saw the word "rare" lol...it came with our current setup and we were going to try and sell it to make room for other corals so I figured before I started a "For Sale" thread I should probably try and figure out what this thing was called first.

Hmmm tough call...
