Default ReefBuilders Final Vote: LED of the year

Looks like its the final round of voting for ReefBuilders LED of the year. The contenders were narrowed to the Kessil A350 and the AI Vega.

I've been reading the articles and comments along the way on this. Wasn't this contest a bit out to lunch right from the start?

Pretty much. They didn't include the Radion G2 or the Illumina 360 with its new color module, and they were matching up incomparable lights. I think they also entered Orpheks older version of its new fixture the Atlantik. Not to mention they themselves admitted illegal voting occurred throughout the contest.

I also wonder how unbiased reef builders is due to all of the ads on the site. Were those omissions an accident? The writers for that blog are all obviously up to date on all of the newest lights, so I have to question that too.

That being said, I think they ended up with two lights that could both be easily argued as 'light of the year'. Still, it would have been a much more interesting contest if all lights were given a fair shot.

I think it may have a lot to do with timing and market penetration. I would say you will see the G2 and Mitras way up there next year.
