Default HELP Moving 120 gallon tank

Get a bunch of 22 gallon tupper ware container (storage type ones) Then get a bunch of clear garbage bags. Get a pickup truck or van and a bunch of friends. Did it in May and last Oct. Moving 2000+ pounds is no fun.

Make up an extra 20-30 gallons of new water just in case. Get your self a Mag3 or bigger and a hose and pump from the containers back to the "new" tank.

oh ya i know what i'm in for
i have a question for u would it be better for me to start all over again and give the corals away cuz i have a feeling that when i move the tank and setting everything up will not work too well and probably the corals will die
this is what i'm gonna be getting 120 gallon tank stand, 2 30 gallon sump skimmer power head
6 bulb tubes for lighting um i gotta go see it again, oh ya 150 LB rocks.

Default HELP Moving 120 gallon tank

I recently moved a 75g and found it not too much trouble. If you have a plan ahead of time and enough buckets and towels, it shouldn't be a big ordeal. Try to borrow/rent/buy a couple of spare heaters and an air pump and the corals can stay in a rubbermaid tub all day. I assume you have a vehicle? You might even be able to transfer all the water with the tank. I brought all my water to my new house when I moved.
If not, RO water can be bought at most grocery stores.
