Default Xmas came early

Just received my order of 3 new Radion Gen 2's, 1 Gen 1 (for my frag tank) and an Apex Jr. Thanks, Martin.

I normally buy from a local LFS, but have bought a couple things from Modular LED now. Martin is very good to do business with. At least I didn't buy from the US, which I do sometimes, too.

I already have 3 gen 1 Radions running in my 100g DT, but have set up a 2nd 135g DT downstairs. My plan is to move the old Radions downstairs, and set up the new Gen 2s in my 100g DT. I only have 1 SPS in it right now, and some LPS and softies. But I intend to get more SPS, so will see how well the new Gen 2's will do. They are supposed to have a lot more PAR, and some other improvements.

Sorry, I don't see the prices published on the Modular LED website so you would have to talk to Martin for pricing. I will say, pricing, service, response, delivery, everything you would want from a retailer, and being online, too, was excellent.

As I said, many other choices out there, local, US, other Cdn online, but I bought from Modular LED.

Default Radion Gen 2's installed

Got my Radion Gen 2s installed today in my DT where my old Gen 1s were. Because I had the old Gen 1s installed on my DIY rails in my canopy, it was very easy to slide the old ones out, and the new ones in. The form factor is exactly the same.

The new Gen 2s are definitely a lot brighter. I don't have any instruments or even pics to measure or compare, but my estimate would be that the Gen 2s at 70% are brighter than the Gen 1s at 100%

I had ramped the Gen 1s up to 100% recently, so am starting the Gen 2s off at 80 %, so I don't fry any corals.

Glad to hear you are happy with the new Radions so far! I looked at Martin's website and saw that this was the only item that didn't have a price and assumed it was because he didn't have any. Ordered from another sponsor that had stock and price listed so we'll soon see if they are all they are cracked up to be!
