Default Apex controller power cord missing

Hi Martin,

I've finally working on setting up my controller and am missing the power connector for the controller. Today is the first day I've opened the box and it's not here. I've got a USB cord, and ether net cord and that's it.

Help?

Power is supplied from your EB8 through the USB cord. No power supply needed.

It's hard to wrap your head around at first! I thought the same thing when I got mine. With the new units, the devices (modules, display, base module, etc.) are supplied power through the EB8 with the Aquabus cables. It is hard to believe that those skinny little cables will actually power anything.

Some of the old modules (like the original Lunar Sim Module) do require their own power cords.

the power supply does not come with it as Sean said it power through usb cable, if you want the system to alert you when power is out, then you will need the power supply and hook it to an ups backup power. Also you can just find any power supply that has same dv rating and plug into, I used one from my dead router.

That's what confused me when setting it up, saw the power outlet, but no cord that fit. I spent a few hours on programming today but need to print the manual out tomorrow, will probably make things easier to follow.

I seem to have a couple of outlets that don't work, plugged my fan in to test but nothing. Will look at this again tomorrow as well.

I did get the heaters, fan, sump light and power heads plugged in and programmed. Not sure what else, return pump, skimmer, reactor and lights, should these be plugged in as well? These are probably questions that should be in another thread, instead of Modular LED....

Your fan will need to go on one of the relay switches (4 or 8): unless you hook a higher draw device up with it (a weak heater, or something). Low draw devices don't work reliably on the other switches. My aqualifter has to go on a relay switch.

Haha, when I got mine I thought the same thing; where's the power cord? I did figure it out but was close to calling Martin and asking where the power cord was.

Well I guess I'm the only one to actually admit I was confused printed the manual at work so I'm sure this will be much easier now that I can see everything at once.....have other chores to do before I can play.
