![]() How do I stop the arms of my frogspawn from twisting and then falling off?
(its otherwise healthy & only when the arms get long) Is it to much flow? direction needs to change? I had a 12g nano & just moved into a 24g and it is the same problem..... ![]() |

![]() it sounds like possibly a flow and/or placement issue.
how many sources of flow do you have and how are they aimed? It sounds like they might be pushing in the same direction which is causing the tentacles to twist. I try to aim my points of flow directly towards each other with a slightly upward angle. This creates naturally opposing currents which should make the corals wave back and forth rather than twist. ![]() I have one direction of flow. It is a 24g nano, so just the top right corner.
Hmmm maybe Ill add a power head... I think my flow is 600-650gpm right now though. I have a 240gpm powerhead I could add for a total of .... 8-900gpm that might be a bit much ? |

![]() I think that'll be ok.
If flow from the back corner can be adjusted point it up towards the front center of the tank. Mount the other powerhead on the opposite side in roughly the same position and aim it the same way, up and towards the front center.
