Default Thinking of dosing Kalk Any tips, links?

I've been away a while. Havn't got rid of my tank, but just laid off the maint for to long etc. I work out of province for 3 weeks at a time too. Home 3, away 3. I need something reliable for when I'm away and easy for sitter to maintain.

Thinking of a DIY Nilsen reactor. I do have a PH controller, and a highly reliable ATO(custom PLC controlled) Couple of questions tho, would it be better to run the ATO through the reactor, or use the PH controller to wun the reactor and have ATO separate? Tank is mildly stocked 150g with approx 70g sumps. Mostly Softies with couple LPS, maize's, Brains etc. Been doing a lot of reading today, and going to get some supplies. Have a couple Aqualifters I bought last year for this project, but winter sports got in the way. I also have a bag of MgCl if there is a way to dose that auto, or should just go manual addition with the Mg?
Biggest thing I love about any hobby I have is the DIY part. I prefer to build, not buy.

Thx for the info/help
