something in the neighborhood of 500gph

Just trying to save a couple bucks so nothing too expensive please....

you may want a bit more than 500gph i would suggest at least 900gph min

You probably want a pump around 900 @ 0 head.

An ehiem 1262 is perfect for a 120g.
