Are this species hardy and will they acclimate in home aquarium?

Were you able to ask the LFS while you were there?

They can usually help you on the spot. Especially with IDs.

Nice fish.

I wonder... does anyone care enough to read signatures if you make them really small? I would not. I would probably moan and complain, read three words and swear once or twice. But since you made it this far, please rate my builds.

I wouldn't take it home if I were you.
From here:
http://fishbase.org/summary/Cantherh...acrocerus.html

It states that:
Max length : 46.0 cm (approx 18")
Also:
"Feeds mainly on sponges, gorgonians, and algae (Ref. 9710) but also eats hydroids and stinging coral"

Not many home aquariums have their food in a sustainable quantity.

I can say, that would turn me off without any further research.

By everything, they probably mean corals.

+1

People usually buy filefish to eliminate Aptaisia.

Golds?

Is this in Edmonton or Calgary, the fish in question.
