Will this Work?
I am not handy in the least, and I really dont understand the basics of flow properties etc. Any help you could give me woud be great.
I am not sure where or what type of pump would be needed to get water to the refugium, I am not even sure if this will end up putting a swimming pool in my living room :P Pardon for the craptastic drawing o_O Thank You Again =) Beth  [/img]

Generally if the fuge/sump is below the display tank, there is no need for a pump to move water down. Rather, this is what your overflow does, be it a true overflow or a siphon of some sort. It will only flow as fast as your return pumps move water back up. You can plumb your fuge almost any way you like, the main thing to me is that you don't want an absurd amount of flow moving through it. You can see (and saw last weekend) how my fuge is supplied from a T on my main return pipe. It's only about 1/4 open.

My problem is space, I have none. My second problem is ability, I have none. That pluming looks great, but there is no way in God's green Earth that I can do it. I put a flexible hose out of my overflow just dropping into my sump - it took me 5 hours.
As for the T to put water into to the fuge, I think that I could handle that. Thanks for the idea =) Will the *overflow* from the fuge to the sump work? Or am I just asking for trouble? Also, the reason I need a rather large fuge, is because I cannot fit the correct size of sump in under my tank. Thank you for your help, I really do apreciate it =) Beth
