![]() I started my first reef tank (29 gal BioCube) last August and have progressed slowly with it. I have had the odd casualty (1 watchman goby and some peppermint shrimp) but otherwise everything has been doing well.
However last night my toadstools closed up and haven't re-opened today. I did a small (10%) water change to see if that would help but nothing. All other corals are open and doing fine. Other corals are: Kenya Tree Coral, Brown Button Polyps, Gorgonain, Devil's Hand, and one small one which I can't recall the name of. Any ideas as to what the issue might be? |

![]() I wasn't aware of that in that they have opened daily ever since I've had them.I'll keep an eye on them and see what transpires. Thanks for your prompt reply.

![]() it is probably getting ready to drop a piece of itself off.
mine does it about every 2 or 3 weeks. it closes for about a day or two as it separates a small piece off.

![]() My toad stool get's mad at me when I change more than 10% of the water at a time or if I bump him while scraping algae, he'll melt down and not come back out for a day or two.

![]() Mine went "dormant" for over 2 months before i saw the extended polyps again. Every now and then they seem to go dormant from anywhere from a day to two months.

![]() The one I had would close up and get a wax type film over it. A day or so later it would shed this and open
