Default Mitras vs Radion vs Vega the LED Line Up

Awesome article on the differences between the big three.

Nice to se some spec. Lined out, but would love to se a more depth investigation in corals need for all the different color of led.

First we had blue and white, and that's it

Now there is hyper violet and all other colors, even red and deep red.

Question is, do I pay more for 2 typ of red and a violet, to achieve nice color coral. Ore gust a rgb controll

I do not loock at the programming options as I can't measure the value between dimming on one way, ore dimming the light the other way.

3 years ago there was only off and on

Hi Kevin,

The relevance is more how these colours blend into one, the cheaper fixtures lend themselves more to disco effect on the sand bed where is higher end fixtures Like the Mitras use highly engineered reflectors (not optics) that converge the LED output into a very natural spectrum found in T5 etc.

This is where the price difference comes into play.
