glue drying time?

What's a safe drying time to allow, for PVC glue, before i can add new plumbing to my tank. Should i let it cure for a few days?

The shortest time I waited is 5 minutes with no problems at all. I think you would be safer if you check on the instruction of the label.

Technically you should let it sit overnight, but I too have glued joints and turned the water on after about 5 min

If you are attaching spa flex I would definately be sure to give it some extra time.

Overnight would be best though IMO.

Just try to pull it apart after 30 seconds! Personally I also wait over night, not because I think it will leak but because I'm unsure how salt water will react to the glue before it fully hardens.

ive stuck it in the water after 5 minutes.... but i wouldnt recommend it, although i had no problems

If I remember correctly, the instructions will te ll you 30 minutes. I waited until the next day.
