![]() Recently on one of my rocks at the bottom of the tank a feather like coral / plant has apeared...... It looks like single feathers atatched by a single green thread of growth.. they are light green in color / the thread is about 5 inches long with about 6 single feathers on it spaced away from each other...
any ideas on what this is? |

![]() Could be a feather duster? Lots of tube worms do the same kind of thing, check them out.
They are good, help filter water, don't hurt anything.

![]() Sounds like bryopsis. Which isn't good. Google it and you should be able to tell fairly quickly

![]() I agree. Try to remove it. If it gets out of hand the only way to get rid of it is to boost your magnesium up to 1500ppm for a while. The only mag that worked for myself and a few others is the Kent Marine Tech Magnesium.
