I am looking to buy a mag 24. I want to use this pump to power my closed loop on my 90 gallon.

I don't think you will find one locally at a LFS. I have read and LFS's also validate that this model breaks shafts as the torque of the pump shatters them on startup. I personally use a Mag 18, without any issues.

Dennis @ Gold's carries the full line up to the 18 model, he won't carry the 24 because of this issue. He will bring it in for you, but I don't think he will warranty anything.

JL online has it in stock, with free shipping. I order from them on a regular basis and you would have it in 2-3 days.
