![]() is it necessary to replenish salt due to salt creep?
i get a bunch of salt creep in my sump but will i ever need to add more? i test my salinity with a refractometer and its the same as before, but it just seems like theres a lot of salt creep. is it ok to push the salt creep back into the water in the sump? |

![]() Over time, yes salt creep can alter your salinity. I myself, knock the salt creep back into the tank, keeping things clean at all times. But if you don't do that, you will need alter your salt input, mostly when doing water changes to adjust things.
It would take alot of salt creep to really change your readings.
