Default Funny Things Kids say about your tank?

I thought I would post a couple funny things our very young generation have asked or commented on at the store about this hobby.

1) There was one young lad that was looking attentively at one of our fish tank's overflow and asked;
Is that a shower for fish?

2) This one nearly went over my head but caught on to it later. A young girl was looking in our display tank at a Regal Tang and said;
My Dad calls our fish like that Hunky. (hunky dori)

3) After explaining that a certain fish came from near Australia A young girl said;
Wow that was one long swim.

Anyone or other vendors have something funny to add please feel free.

Kevin

My niece once said: "I guess fish never get thirsty, do they?"

My 5 year old son: "Daddy ? Are fish smart ?"

Me: "Errr....well, not smart like you and I, but they're intelligent to a degree"

Son: "Then why do they pee in the water they drink ?"

A lesson on what skimmers do followed.

This was from an adult I was showing my tank to a few years ago. After spending a while looking in the tank and pointing out the bubble algaes to me, they said "too bad saltwater doesn't have the colors that freshwater does".

Art and I looked at each other.. And decided it just wasn't worth commenting on. hey whatndoyounexpect from a "freshie".

There are always people fresh in the hobby that are convinced that live rock will actually grow in size.

Gotta agree with Dez....I hear it daily

"So, since that rock is live, is it going to grow more rock?" Argh...seriously? We've even put up a well written sign detailing live rock...and they STILL ask

Another I hear often, "can I put that saltwater fish in my freshwater tank if I add some salt? I think it would look nice with my plants"

I love hearing kids ask "Is that a such and such?" when they identify it correctly, but feel as though it may not be real. It is especially funny when its something like an urchin, or a hermit crab that is walking, and they ask if its real, haha.

MagFloat Cleaners! Kids love these. I dont know what it is about them. Even adults go nuts, haha, but little kids dont get it and it drives them crazy. And from an angle on the tank (like looking through the side panel to the front), you cannot see out of the tank, so all you see is the inside part of the magnet. That gets a variety of hilarious reactions
