GMGQ is on a distinguished road
Default GMGQ's 29 Gallon Frag Tank

Well last night I finally glued up the last frag rack, and put all 4 racks into the tank. I had pumped out all the nasty water from before (it was cloudy from all the PVC plumbing and other stuff that fell into it during assembly/testing), and refilled it with fresh RO/DI water -- it's crystal clear right now

It looks PIMP!

Here's a quick shot of it:

Filled with RO/DI water, water cycling up&down with mini sump below. "Just add salt"

EQUIPMENT:
Tank: Hagen 29 Gallon (36"W x 12"D x 18"H), back & bottom painted black
Sump: 10 Gallons w/ DIY Float Switch & Solenoid Valve ATO
Change Water: 10 Gallons w/ Kent Marine Float Valve ATO
Stand: Metal Stand (48"W x 12"D x 27"H)
Return Pump: QuietOne 3000
Powerhead: Tunze Turbelle Nanostream 6025 (WICKED FLOW)
Return Flow: Hydor Deflector
Heater: Jager 200W
Lighting: DIY 8-LED on 6"x7" Heatsink (4x Cree XP-E, 4x XP-G), Cooled with a 80mm Aluminum Fan @ 5V (still waiting for 8 optics that I ordered to arrive)
Top Shelf: 22"x6" Black Eggcrate on 1/2" square acrylic tube legs
Middle Shelves: Two 10"x6" Black Eggcrate on 1/2" acrylic rods
Lower Shelf: 17"x6" Black Eggcrate on 1/2" acrylic rods

Shelves are about 5" apart from each other in height.

I've got the 200W Jager heater in the 10gallon sump on the below left on to bring it up to the same temp as the display tank. Tonight I'll start adding the salt to bring it to 1.025 like the other tank. I've already got the return of the display tank Tee'd off to feed the sump of the frag tank, and the return of the frag tank Tee'd off to feed back to the sump of the main tank. Once I start pumping it in line with the main tank, I will be moving one of my Biopellet reactors into the frag tank sump.

This weekend I'll cut some acrylic to make mounts for the auto top off's for the frag tank sump, as well as the 10gallon change water tank on the lower right.

STAY TUNED!!!
