Finally "skimmered"!

Well, for the past 7 months my 27gal has gone completely sumpless, refugiumless, and skimmerless. With the exception of a slight crash somewhere down the line, I've been quite happy with the fact that I've been able to pull it off. Well, I finally hooked up a skimmer to my system last night just to see what would happen. Within an hour an ugly yellow foam was spilling over, and the skimmer had sucked up a few amphipods.

Well, actually the real reason I'm starting to skim is because I'm going to be upgrading my tank to a 50gal in a couple of days so I thought I'd better start using it on the 50gal as safety net for the move. Wish me luck! [img]smile.gif[/img]
