![]() trying to locate some live food to see if i can get my yellow goby & lawnmower to start feeding on frozen eventually. i remember king ed had some occasionally, but they were usually in weekdays and that conflicts with work. any help appreciated.
btw, is it normal for these two fish to not eat frozen foods? i've tried mysis, brine and flake, but they don't touch it. they've been in the tank for almost a month, so should be dead now if they aren't eating pods/algae to survive (assumed, cuz i never see them do that either). |

![]() Maybe they don't like meat? Are lawnmowers vegetarians? Maybe some blanched zucchini would be better.

![]() My lawnmower blenny is nuts for nori. Roll the nori over a piece of PVC or other tubing and then hold it down with elastics though, I don't think they'll be interested otherwise.
If your glass is a little dirty, i.e., slight film of algae they will go for that stuff, you'll notice "kiss" marks on your glass. I had mine for a VERY long time before he took to any other kinds of food. He will now chase down mysis, but it took him a long time to get used to the idea. His preference is by far the nori.

![]() King Ed hasn't had live brine shrimp for over a year, I hear there is some guy out in abbotsford that sells it but it's bloody expensive. Try PE mysis, it looks live, and it's much more nutritious than brineshrimp.
